Three Concepts Pertaining to the Idea of Reflexivity
1. Reflexion - The process by which we are becoming whole and learn to act together. By which we are enabled to become autonomous agents of a reflexive collective.
2. Reflexive Collective - An agency in which autonomous persons (agents) move together towards more holistic being. Such an agency may coagulate at a time when a group of persons interested in the processes of transformation make a commitment to cooperative enterprise. Such a commitment entails predication to the belief in self-reflexivity and dedication to interdisciplinary activity and extradisciplinary investigation, the products of which may be considered the substance of an agency’s reflexion collection.
3. Reflexion Collection - The sum total of what was, what is, and what will be in terms of the ideas, energies, and resources of a reflexive collective. Though we may attempt to inventory all of the forms and contents of our reflexion collection, no single museological impulse has the ability to embody the whole of a reflexion collection, unless, of course, this collection is a reflection of the nature of reflexivity.
